KRIYA FOR BALANCING THE VAYAS

Praana, through the heart, Udaana through the throat, Samaana in the naval region, Apaana through the sphere of the anus, Vyaana, throughout the whole body

I share this particular kriya in my workshops because it helps clear out all the toxins from our bodies in addition to connecting us with our highest "Self.

KRIYA FOR ENERGIZING THE SELF

Done on a regular basis you will find yourself strengthened, centered, and energized.

kaypacha yogaI cannot stress enough how much Kundalini Yoga has changed my life (for the better)! I often tell people in my workshops that I use Astrology as bait just to get them to come and experience Kundalini Yoga.

While I have studied astrology for almost 40 years now, it wasn’t until after I did my teacher training in Kundalini Yoga that my understanding, readings, and perception of astrology deepened immensely. I completed my training in 2010, sold/gave away my belongings and moved to Hawaii to live as a yogi doing my practice quietly for the rest of my life. While that did not happen a lot of other things did, like the birth of the Pele Report and the subsequent expansion of my work.

I would like this page to be a resource for tons and tons of Kundalini Yoga info and downloads so you too can experience the amazing opening, lightening, and rejuvenating effects of practicing it. I will have to check on copyright laws so I don’t get in trouble giving everything away haha! For now, here are some starters:

The best is to wake up in the morning (just before sunrise is best) and start with a cold shower! Then roll out that yoga mat, rub your two palms together, place them in prayer pose and begin with 3 “Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” CLICK FOR THE OPENING RECORDING. Then pop on some music (a good source is SpiritVoyage.com), and do a couple Sun Salutations DOWNLOAD HERE. It is best to have a timer and a printout of the kriya right next to your mat, as you need to really follow the movements exactly until you know it by heart.

If you heartmeditationare just beginning or have physical challenges, try this kriya for starters:

BASIC SPINAL ENERGIZER SERIES

lilith treeProbably the next easiest, and the one I do at most of my workshops is:

THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM KRIYA

This is an exercise set for the Lymph System that I associate with Lilith

yogaastrology01Next, one of my favorites that I have been doing for years is:

THE KRIYA FOR ELEVATION

This easy set of exercises is excellent as a tune-up. It systematically exercises the spine and aids in the circulation of prana to balance the chakras.

An important point to remember is that the original intention of yoga was to prepare the body to meditate! Western civilization has, by and large, lost this fundamental approach and in some ways turned it more into an exercise/athletic/fashion statement. So, to really experience and reach the highest levels of being and transformation, it is important to meditate after the kriya. Kundalini meditations are done for either 11, 31, or 62 minutes. Here are a few meditations and I hope to upload more as time goes on and I get the OK.

mehcircleofemotionsBeginner Meditation for Healing Addictions

Meditation will be used to alleviate all kinds of mental and physical afflictions. The pressure exerted by the thumbs triggers a rhythmic reflex current into the central brain. This current activates the brain area directly underneath the stem of the pineal gland. It is an imbalance in this area that makes mental and physical addictions seemingly unbreakable.

yogaastrology04Intermediate Meditation for Emotional Balance

This meditation is essential at times when one is worried or upset and doesn't know what to do, or when one feels like screaming, yelling and misbehaving. When out of focus or emotional, attention should be given to the body's water balance and breath rate. Humans are approximately 70% water, and behavior depends upon the relation of water and earth. Breath, representing air and ether, is the rhythm of life.

The Gunpati Meditation

This is the meditation I have been doing for years (was assigned haha!) 'This beautiful and powerful meditation has a history in its name. The ancient symbol for this was the Hindu God of Knowledge and Happiness, Ganesha. The other name for Ganesha is Gunpati.

The exciting thing about Kundalini Yoga is that it actually changes you on a cellular level into a new and different person than you were. It opens you up and kills off all that is “not you.” Doing a Kriya and meditation every day for 30 days will break old habits. Doing them for 90 days will reform and rewire new habits. Doing them for 120 days will firmly establish the new neuropathways in the rewired you.

The tricky part is that if you miss ONE day, you have to start the count over at zero. Good Luck!

After you finish your practice (usually 45 for the kriya and 31 for the meditation equals about 1.5 hours) you end with the CLOSING SONG. There are a couple different versions of it that you can find online. After the closing song the practice is completed with 3 “Sat Nam’s.” Sat = infinity and Nam = identity. Connect with your infinite identity each day. I wish you the best and look forward to posting more and more pdfs and videos etc. as time permits. Sat Nam!

Two additional Pranayama exercises to help you balance and maintain your center:  I have practised the Alternate Nostril breathing in nasty traffic!  It works!  Deep Breathing is used throughout Kundalini yoga practices so it is a good one to know.  Injoy!
