〰️ Great shift within and without 〰️
We’ve entered the cycle of a new season. Aries springs us into life with an initiatory force that is eager for new beginnings and fresh starts. Opportunities are sprouting up and coming our way! Aries is the zodiac’s first sign marking the true beginning of the astrological year. We have completed a full cycle of growth through the entire zodiac and have arrived now, yet again, at the next tier of the infinite spiral of the evolution of consciousness.
Aries is a Mars-driven archetype, and while Mars itself currently transits through the sign of Cancer, your deeper feelings, security needs, and the bonds that move you are where the energy is being called to this month. Cancer, like Aries, is a sign of leadership, so you are guided here to take right action and move toward what inspires you and is closest to your heart. Our first relationship is with ourselves before ever another. Self-care and self-love are essential for any type of healthy relating. This is the work of Aries and Cancer.
As of last week, Mars just released itself from its six-month retrograde journey, which led us all into a lull and void as progress and all things naturally moving forward may have seemed stagnant, stuck, repetitive, and slowed down. Retrogrades represent going back in time and space to a territory we’ve already covered and then redoing, repeating, reassessing, and reanalyzing what was previously potentially overlooked or not dealt with well enough.
I like to look at it as an opportunity where we are given more time and another chance to reexamine certain issues that may need a little extra attention. So, whatever issues you have been pulled towards over these past six months is a hint to understand where a lot of the deep work in your psyche has been active. It was undoubtedly a time when we could see where profound change needed to happen in our lives and where to take action. And now, it’s time to move forward better equipt and ready for the next growth phase.
March 2023 is unique and has been much anticipated in the astrology community as this is the month that Saturn moves into Pisces for the first time since 1994 (to stay for almost three years). And Pluto leaves Capricorn (since 2008) and moves into Aquarius for the first time since 1778 – 1798 (staying for the next twenty years.) Needless to say, it is a time of a great shift within and without. This month’s cycle is one signifying notable endings and promising beginnings.
This week, the Moon comes into its first quarter half-moon phase, signaling a trigger to pause and face head-on any obstacles or conflicts presenting and choose from the heart which is the best and right direction to step towards. We are in the creative waxing moon phase, where the impulse is towards active growth into increasing light and awareness.
Venus will also meet up with Uranus this week, creating their annual rendezvous, where the Goddess of love and connection unites with the Rebel defender of individuality and unique genius. We like what we like, and we want what we want. Transits like this define our desires and reveal what separates us. We either move together in understanding and acceptance or move apart in our differences.
In the sign of Taurus, it symbolizes the potential for a meeting of explosive proportions of either attraction or repulsion, depending on who is standing at the two poles. Simply said, it emphasizes the distinctions between our personal preferences, needs, and desires. What is attractive or enjoyed by one may be repulsive to another. Venus evokes connection, and Uranus delivers individuality. Connection is a vibe, and if we’re being true to ourselves, if we like the vibe we’ll stay, and if not, it’s time to go.
Venus joining with Uranus is one of my favorite transits to observe what and who gets broken up in life and what withstands the pressure and then takes it to the next octave of connection. When another planet is in tight contact with Uranus, there is potential to tap into a highly creative force and actualize the genius within.
Sincerely,
