Hola New Paradigmers!

Ugh! I always forget to say so much on the Pele Report! Let’s look at the bright side! What is the purpose/intention of the Mercury/Uranus cycle of evolution? Liberation, freedom from the known, inventiveness, ingenuity, free speech, freedom from past conditioning to enable a more individualized self-expression. Let’s now put that seed in Taurus, where Uranus is spending seven years, and Mercury spent a month or so. The intention with Uranus is always to “up the bar.” So this seven-year period (from 2018 – 2025) is about discovering new resources and values, which lead to new ideas, radical self-acceptance, new skills, and talents to make ourselves more valuable, increase our income, and provide more physical/financial security.

How does Uranus do this? With sudden, surprising, often shocking events, information, downloads, wins/losses, and other phenomena that serve to destabilize our old way of doing things/business/make money, so we are either inspired or pushed to change. Then comes the 90-degree Mercury square Uranus (7/21, 8/18, and 9/7 NOW). This is the time to communicate, share, and Manifest these new impulses/ideas into externalized form. Some of what is happening now is the result of embracing or resisting the “upgrade.” Let’s remember that Uranus is the personal UNconscious, and it is therefore often projected onto forces (people, institutions, etc.) outside our egoic control.

Therefore, as always, we can be a force of change or forced to change. We may be catalysts that wake others up, or we may be woken up to patterns and conditioned responses to life that are no longer appropriate, working, or true for our unique destiny. During these times, if our nervous system is stressed (Uranus/Mercury rule the nervous system and are in a tension producing aspect), we can be traumatized or traumatize others with sudden flashes and news, often of a disturbing nature. The more we work with our nervous system and build it up, strengthen it, and stretch it so we can handle more input, the better we will be able to cope with these needs for change. If we don’t, like I mentioned in the report, there can be nervous breakdowns instead of breakthroughs. May you break on through to the other side!

So yup, even though Mercury retrograde ends today, as I mentioned in today’s report, the communication breakdowns/breakthroughs will continue through his “storm” and not really settle down or come to a resolution until his third square to Uranus on September 7th! This is a long, extreme, intense, traumatic, and enlightening conversation around sudden changes in our values and needs that can be extremely uncomfortable.

The fact that it is occurring at the same time as Venus opposite Neptune and Mars squaring Neptune brings it to the realm of intimate relationship ideals or dreams (Neptune) needing to come down into earthly reality or let go if they were fantasy. Some real wakeups and shakeups not only in the realm of personal relationships but also governmental relationships (I think the number of wars being fought right now is at a high, and there will be increasing conflicts between nations and within nations).

I can’t help but think of the old saying that if it doesn’t kill you, it will help you grow. If we can regulate our nervous systems and calmly assess what is being said and what we need and feel, great clarity and understanding can result. Sometimes the truth hurts but in the long run we and the world are better off knowing it. Let’s just try to lessen the blow, deliver our news as gently and empathically as possible so as not to further polarize the situation and blow our own circuits. Happy computing/communicating!
