These days are jam-packed full of “transformational opportunities” through either constructive or destructive means, as mentioned in this week’s Sabian symbol. Destructive would be if we run ourselves ragged, overeat, over drink, over talk, and overdo. Constructive would be if we slow down, stay mindful, and keep an eye on the future as well as the present. Coming to the longest night in the northern hemisphere, this time period has long been used to light the inner fire of our spirit/soul in preparation to burn brightly come spring.

Looking at both the road ahead and the road that got us to where we are today can help us keep our bearings and set a course best suited for our own growth and the wellbeing of those we love. I wish you the best during this special time of year and send blessings of love and light!

There’s never a dull moment these days with the technology we have created. It, therefore, becomes more important for us to consciously unplug and make space for stillness, contemplation, and rejuvenation. Otherwise, we can blunder along with the demands of the moment until we find ourselves carried away on the river of life completely out of control and lost as to our purpose.

Hence, the cosmos and mother nature have come to the rescue with a nice, slow-down aspect, Jupiter squaring Saturn while the Capricorn Sun squares the Moon’s nodes. There is great wisdom in the stars, and while you can look to where these are aspecting your natal chart, you can also gain some footing just knowing that the energy of the times (for everyone) are pointing to “downtime.”

Rather than seeing it as a bummer and getting dragged down, bored, or depressed that things are moving as fast as you would like, if viewed from a higher perspective, it’s quite purposeful. When you watch a replay or a movie in slow motion, you notice so much more than watching it at regular speed!
