Hola New Paradigmers!

We have a first quarter square Moon today in Taurus that will be waxing to a full Moon next Wednesday in Leo. Just as the Moon gets larger and brighter, so too may our emotions build within as these are fixed signs, and Mars is still retrograde. I talked extensively about the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Uranus connections in the report and down below, but what does retrograde Mars trine Saturn in Pisces bring to the table?

Saturn, the great teacher and lord of karma, has been visiting Pisces for almost two years and has another year to go. His time there can be seen as a three year sunset bringing a twenty eight year long day to an end. It is a time to wrap up what we have been working on, review our progress or lack of progress, reflect on what we have done beautifully, right, wrong, poorly, or not at all, exhale, and let it go until the next day. What’s done is done and can’t be undone, what’s said is said and can’t be unsaid, we’ll live and hopefully learn, grow, mature, and correct what we can while letting the rest teach us but not hold us back.

Mars conjuncted Saturn last April 11th, which marked a time of making decisions and taking actions to further our business and role in the world and manage our responsibilities to ourselves, our families, our community, and the future. Now, almost a year later, he’s trining Saturn which reflects a time of relishing what we have accomplished, basking in the glory of what we have done and created, and in this case (with Mars in Cancer) feeling into whether our worldly achievements, commitments, and vocational paths are really fulfilling us emotionally or not. At this time, it’s not so much about the outer appearances as it is about how it feels inside, let’s not fool ourselves.

This is a week that will be extremely “good,” or extremely “bad,” with sudden, perhaps shocking communications that the cosmos/life is bringing to wake us up to our unconscious patterns. As I discuss in today’s report and as described in the Sabian symbol for today’s first quarter square Moon, these communications will serve to make us more aware of, use, direct, and control our ego will forces more consciously.

Uranus/Aquarius is not known for his/its gentleness or subtlety. The best thing we can do is use astrology and our charts to see where and how these energies are working for us so as not to be too surprised or overwhelmed. If we are proactive enough and sincerely ask ourselves if we are using our power appropriately for the good of all concerned or if self-interest and opportunism has been making our decisions, we can make changes before changes are forced on us from external, projected powers that be.

Looking at it from a positive standpoint, this is a week of “raising the bar” in all our relationships, whether intimate and personal or friendship/working. This Sun/Mercury conjunction is happening in Aquarius which is all about the future, plans, visions, and enterprises. Projects can move along faster and smoother when everything is on the table, and transparency reigns, making greater cooperation possible and leading to better outcomes.

Rather than following in the footsteps of so many nations fostering self-interest and isolationist policies that create competition and make life harder for everyone, let’s co-create ways to support each other and make our lives easier!
