Last week on the New Moon, we confronted some of our deeper instinctual patterns on a very personal level. For many, it was a matter of coming to terms with the raging war within and the most personals battles that we fight against (Mars). It’s been a time focused on coming into greater awareness around who we are, what we identify with, and what moves us or causes us to freeze in fear.  

We see the symbolism of Mars having been square to the North and South Nodes of the Moon as representing this transit. This week, Mars is moving on, and Mercury will be taking its place, filling that mid-point position between the symbols that we consider mark the density of the impression that our Past has left on us and the liberation and growth that our Destiny (or Future) promises. 

These are the South and North Nodes of the Moon, and planets standing at their midpoint represent a skipped step that begs for resolution.  

When we are dealing with a Mercury “moment,” we can expect that it’s the very nature of our minds that will be up for the confrontations, for the resolutions. This week will be themed around going deeper into what’s behind our communications. How are we integrating within and interpreting life around us? We are likely to be seeing and even be acting in some very emotionally charged debates of opinion, belief, ideas, and concepts.  

The mind is the domain of intellectual understanding, and the intelligence of the mind can take us far in life. However, on the flip side, ignorance, arrogance, narrowmindedness, brainwashing, mental manipulation, delusion, and wishful thinking, are just a few of the rather dark side components of a dangerous mind.

With Mercury now in the heady perceptual, analytical sign of Virgo for the next two weeks, we can expect there will be a lot of “work” being accomplished in the realms of the mind! Since Virgo is focused mainly on wellness, healing is a top priority. It’s time. We all need a good dose of some peace of mind.

This week we will also see the Sun in the late degrees of Leo come into opposition with Jupiter in Aquarius. That’s an alignment that can manifest as some “larger than life” experiences, events, or realizations showing up in our worlds. It’s a “go big or go home” kind of feeling, and when in Leo/Aquarius, the stakes are high, betting on us to show up authentically, call upon the genius within, be bold, be true, be courageous, and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! Jupiter Sun times can bring that stroke of luck you’ve been waiting on and opportunities you’ve never imagined! 

Weeks like this created the saying, “Fortune favors the bold.”
