〰️ Courage to step into personal power 〰️
When we tune into the conversations of the cosmos, we send a message to the Divine that we are here listening and willing to participate. To some, it might feel like we are being pushed and pulled by invisible forces, like the tides that we go to the shores to witness. What most don’t realize is that the sky’s story is our story, and its ebb and flow are merely reflections of the inner tides of our own internal ocean. Mercury retrograde = time for inner contemplation. A Dark Moon = time to find stillness and assimilate your experiences. A Full Moon = is harvest time.
As earthlings, we are constantly in motion with the wheels of time, inviting us to be present with the zeitgeist of our given epoch. History follows a predetermined logic according to a natural growth cycle, inspired by the inner principles of the evolution of human consciousness. We live within a cosmic clock, and we live in a time and age where we have all the resources we need to understand how to interpret it—to understand the power and progression of humanity.
As we reach this current crowning moment in the cyclical narrative of the cosmos, you are invited to reflect on what is currently reaching a high point in the cycle of your own growth and life path. Where can you see that a major purpose of your soul is now becoming more actualized? Where can you recognize that you are tapping into a greater awareness of how to heal from the past and create the future you are destined for?
The time is now! With all this power and potential available, a major requirement is being asked of us: the bold courage to step into personal power.
This period of the August Full Moon is one of the most powerful peak moments of 2024. Representing opportunities for massive breakthroughs, epic shifts in life path and direction, and reorientation into greater depths of self-expression, self-love, and understanding your place in this universe.
Let’s break it down to attempt to understand the complexity of this potent transitional time.
Mercury Cazimi, or in other words, “in the heart of the Sun.” This is a potent portal for information and communication. Think of it like a beautiful harmonic union of the heart and throat chakra. When Mercury joins the Sun during its retrograde cycle, it is a powerful opportunity to receive life-changing clarity. In Leo, the topic is focused on self-expression and self-actualization. Leo is a “ME” archetype that seeks to have a full-bodied experience of itself and the immutable power of love. It’s about enduring the blood, sweat, and tears that come with choosing to be an active participant in the game, the joy and the fun of it all.
A Full Moon amplifies what is, bringing everything into the light of consciousness. In Aquarius, opposite the Leo Sun, we traverse the “season of personal power.” We are reminded that we hold the eternal flame of the infinite within us and are beacons of that power. We are all on a path of personal development, growth, and awakening, here to reclaim aspects of our soul essence lost to the atrocities of human ignorance. Together, we rise, and one by one, we recenter ourselves in our hearts, where we can walk in the light of our soul.
Uranus is the Great Awakener. When it forms a square angle, as it does now at the exact degree between the Sun and the Full Moon, we are pulled into the alchemical cauldron of radical change. The square position represents a conflict that must be confronted—whether it is a tension or obstacle between the inner and outer, yourself and another, or the personal and the social/societal. We must allow ourselves to grow beyond what is familiar and step into the great unknown. Uranus asks: “What else is possible?”
Venus is opposite Saturn and square Mars. Back in February, Venus and Mars came together to discuss the beginning of a new cycle in relationship awareness. Then, in March, Venus joined forces with Saturn to refine this intention towards realizing love and connection in partnerships. Now, at this point in the cycle, they have all returned to evaluate how the job is going.
Looking back at those months, you might ask yourself: What were you focused on that helped you begin a new cycle and gain awareness in your relationships with yourself and others? How have you progressed since then? What realizations have you gained over the past few months? What might you need to adjust to ensure success moving forward?
Saturn demands that we face reality as it is. It is the mirror that reflects our deeds, our efforts, our responsibility, and our integrity. So when Saturn arrives at the table, we can expect to be called out and required to do what is necessary. So, what aspects of your life could you address to cultivate more discipline and responsibility? Where may you need to do something absolutely necessary for your joy and contentment?
In the weeks following the Full Moon, as the clock moves us toward total immersion into the Virgo season, Uranus will turn retrograde. This movement will lead us to deepen into the newfound position that is currently birthing into manifested alignment. For many, this month will reorient your values, needs, intentions, soul focus, and purpose.
