New Moon 07º Taurus April 27, 2025

by JESSICA DAWN

〰️ The best things in life are free 〰️

I imagine we’re moving on the very wind of a kiss blown by the universe as if to bid us farewell from the eclipse season and with a blessing into the new chapter of our lives! That type of magic may not be felt by everyone, but what is surely palpable is the shift.

Now, we’re also on the other side of the last of three oppositions (since November) from Mars to Pluto (as of 3/27, to be exact). We’re heading into new territory. The energetic field is shifting in the cosmos and within our own psyche.

It’s the New Moon in Taurus, and I call this archetype the honey pot. Taurus holds the vibration of sweet, comfortable familiarity. The kind that feels like a home-cooked meal and a warm, cozy place by the fire. So what does that mean for us? What does it mean to move out of an Aries season where the archetype of the Warrior and Heroin was amplified?

Well, we’ve just come through a six-month period of time where the emphasis was so powerfully activated to change, evolve, grow, and for so many to shift and uplevel into an entirely new identity altogether. We’ve been forged in the fires of our own fears and now repositioned into a center of self that can only be accessed by having harnessed great courage from within. Congratulations, if you’re reading this – you’ve made it!

I can’t say that the tempo of life is going to slow down any because 2025’s planetary agenda already holds the promise for time as we know it to speed up exponentially. Uranus transiting into Gemini (in July) marks a seven-year reset that can be likened to a rocket ship in full blast-off mode.

But for now, Taurus loves to set the pace at slow and steadyand we’re being called to remember to rest and recuperate and fall into the luxury of self-care. That is the realm Taurus teaches: to go deep into the inner cave and take care of your needs, desires, wants, and most importantly, your serenity (or sanity for some), which is found in the stillness of self. And while you’re there, take note of your exceptional value, all that you’ve cultivated thus far on your journey, and all that you have to offer to the world. Because the most valuable resources come from within.

Coco Chanel said it best: “The best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive.”

As the week progresses, Venus will end its long retrograde journey in Pisces, leaving its council with Saturn and returning back into Aries where it started its 40-day retrograde back in March. It’s been a bit like our hearts have been dragged down a hard path of reality while being held firmly by a guiding force. Basically, it’s been about learning how to hold your own standards, boundaries, and accountability and learn how to be the good parent – to yourself.

The Full Moon will rise in Scorpio, illuminating the polar arc between the stabilizing Taurus force and the pattern-disrupting scorpionic focus. Survival instincts are heightened, and your comfort zone may be either triggered or satisfied depending on which way the pendulum swings. With both Uranus and Mercury there too in Taurus, we can expect the unexpected, and our boundaries may be tested. It could be a good thing as it can reveal attachments that are ready to go.

Needless to say, with those players, we’ve got money on the mind and the mind on the money.

This is a cycle focused on resources, both inner and outer, and at the heart of it all is the prime resource of self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-love.

Blessings on your journey,
Jess
