~The world needs your light~
This New Moon Solar Eclipse in Leo signals the beginning of a powerful evolutionary chapter, both personally and collectively. With the Nodes newly shifted into Aquarius and Leo, we are entering a cycle that asks us to examine our relationship with authenticity, visibility, creativity, leadership, and the way our individual gifts contribute to the greater whole.
Leo teaches us the importance of being seen, celebrated, and encouraged. There is an essential stage in our soul’s development where we need to know that we are special, and worthy of love. We need our feathers fluffed. We need the post-it note on the mirror that says, “You matter.” Without this healthy recognition, the ego becomes wounded. We might hide from visibility altogether, or seek unhealthy amounts of love/approval from others.
And yet, with the South Node in Leo, we are releasing the need for applause as proof of our worth, while remembering that our creativity, joy, and radiance are still sacred. The shadow of Leo can seek validation through performance, comparison, drama, or the need to be seen as exceptional. The higher expression of Leo is heart-centered creative sovereignty. It is the child who discovers joy through play, the artist who dares to create, the lover who gives generously, the leader who inspires through courage, and the performer who allows the divine spark to move through them.
Are we creating from the heart, or performing for validation? Or better yet, are we shining because our soul is alive with expression, or because we are waiting for the crowd to confirm our worth?
The North Node in Aquarius points us toward individuation, community, innovation, and the courage to contribute our unique gifts to the collective. Aquarius helps us step back and see from a higher perspective. From this God’s-eye view, we observe what’s unfolding with more objectivity and access new solutions to old problems. This is where profound scientific, social, and spiritual breakthroughs can emerge.
Together, the Nodes will teach us that the individual gift must become part of the collective future.
This eclipse belongs to Saros Series 10 South, a family associated with breaking out of situations that once felt impossible to change. In Predictive Astrology: The Eagle and the Lark, Bernadette Brady describes this eclipse family as connected with “…breaking out of a very negative situation where it seems all hope is lost, into a more positive space with many options. A worry that has been weighing heavily can suddenly clear.”
Historically, this series has coincided with moments when humanity was forced to confront the failure of old systems, beliefs, and structures, often leading to the discovery of a new path forward.
In 1900, consciousness began to shift through Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams. In 1918, World War I shattered the old imperial world and forced humanity into a new global reality. Empires fell, borders were redrawn, new nations emerged, women and workers demanded greater recognition, and the League of Nations introduced the idea that humanity needed a collective structure for peace. In 1954, in Brown v. Board of Education, the U.S. Supreme Court declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional. Nelson Mandela was released from prison after 27 years of incarceration. His release “…reminds us that freedom is not a single event, but an ongoing process that demands ethical leadership, courage in the face of injustice, and a willingness to challenge systems that deny dignity to others.” (nelsonmandela.org) Fast forward to 2008 when President Barack Obama was elected as the first U.S. Black male president.
Seen through these examples, Saros Series 10 South brings historical social breakthroughs.
Essentially, what has been pushed aside or swept under the rug can no longer remain hidden.
Eclipses are not fleeting events in the sky. They act as spotlights in specific areas of our lives (your birth chart), revealing what must be seen. What is revealed will have lasting effects, shaping the choices we make and the future we are building.
The question becomes: How can my unique gifts serve something larger than my need for validation?
We are all special.
Now we are being asked to offer the gift.

Grand Air Trine: Uranus 5° Gemini + Venus 5° Libra + Pluto 3° Aquarius
This Grand Air Trine is active most strongly from August 8–14, with its peak around August 10–12 as Venus in Libra completes the trine between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius.
This is a powerful current for social connection, and creative exchange. Let’s remember, Air is movement. This is excellent energy for brainstorming, writing, teaching, sharing ideas, networking, and building community through conversation or social media.
Ideas can connect quickly, conversations can open doors, and previous insights finally take form. We can receive clarity around what to focus on next, what actions to take, and whether an idea is truly worthy of pursuit or something to table for a future date.
The gift of this aspect is the ability to think outside the box and recognize which visions have the potential to grow. The caution is to not overthink, trip out into the future, or fall backward into the past. Like the wind, we must keep moving forward while remaining grounded in the present moment.
Black Moon Lilith 13° Capricorn square Saturn retrograde 14° Aries
If there ever was an aspect reminding us it is time to own our muchness, this is the one.
Retrogrades encourage us to pause, reflect, and approach a challenge or life lesson from a new perspective. With Saturn retrograde in Aries, we revisit lessons around self-leadership, anger, courage, and how we assert ourselves in the world. Add Black Moon Lilith in Capricorn to the mix, and we have a powerful tension around owning our authority and using our power in a more responsible way.
Black Moon Lilith in Capricorn speaks to the places where we have been exiled, shamed, or distorted around authority, status, and worldly power. Capricorn wants to build. It wants to mature, provide, achieve, and leave a legacy behind. The goal is to create something that stands the test of time that helps make the world a better place for future generations.
But Black Moon Lilith reveals where the soul may carry a wound around being controlled, used, judged, or punished for claiming authority.
When Lilith moves through Capricorn, we may confront the shadow of ambition, the fear of failure, the pressure to perform, and the harsh internal rules we have inherited around what it means to be successful, responsible, or worthy.
Now mix this with Saturn retrograde in Aries, and we have a hotbed for suppressed anger, frustration, and resentment to rise to the surface. A deeper rage may emerge around systems of control: government, corporations, family structures, patriarchy, or any authority that has demanded obedience at the expense of authenticity. Saturn shines a light on where we have been repressed, but also where we have learned to repress ourselves.
This square asks us to own our side of the fence. Where have we given our power away? And where are we asked to step into greater maturity and integrity?
Let’s not focus on shame but healthy awareness.
When we see the pattern clearly, we can choose differently.
We are invited now to reclaim our authority, take responsibility for our actions, and move forward with a deeper commitment to becoming the person our soul is asking us to be.
