Alright, Everybody!

Let’s talk about the psychological phenomena of “projection,” as it comes strongly into play whenever dealing with Libra/Scorpio and “shadow work.” We are particularly dealing with shadow work with any solar eclipse in the first place, as the Moon is blocking out the light of the Sun. However, with this eclipse, it will come even more into play as it is occurring on the south node of the Moon, which deals with past/shadow/subconscious needs and desires, and in close proximity to Black Moon Lilith, who symbolizes the rejected parts of ourselves.

So, projection is a means of maintaining a positive self-image, avoiding acknowledging and confronting our own unwanted anxieties, flaws, and unwanted emotions by denying they exist within ourselves and experiencing them through others. The closer we are to another, the more deeply personal and intense these projections become. Examples can be anger to the point of violence, jealousy, or revenge, which are all labeled “negative emotions” that we would never describe ourselves as having, but then connecting with an angry, jealous, or revengeful partner.

As the north node is now in Aries, we are collectively dealing with the process of owning and healing (with Chiron there) our primal, instinctive human nature. Indeed, this is the only way out of codependent relationships where projections are at play. The way through this begins with communication, empathy, and self-acceptance, which can begin alone but can extend to personal partners and even professional therapy.

This is the time! It’s time to take the kid glove off, acknowledge the totality of our emotional world, and own our stuff! While the process can be painful and challenging, the results are enlightening, liberating, and evolutionary. We can see this being played out on the world stage with candidates and nations blaming, finger-pointing, and projecting “madly” upon “the other.” Let’s bring it home to our own lives so we can grow as beacons of light in the darkness by dealing with our shadows/relationships first, shall we?

Before you get too carried away with that mantra, let’s remember that astrology teaches us that there is no end! Every end of a cycle leads to the birth of a new cycle. However, let us also remember that there is a zero point: there is that point at the bottom that feels like a void, an emptiness, or an end. It is a feeling many of us know well.

As La Luna wanes, she lets go of her light, she grows dimmer and smaller until, finally, we cannot see her at all. Then, out of “the blue,” she emerges, this time from a solar eclipse where she has come into direct alignment with the Sun! We are in a powerful period of transition here!

However, you may not be feeling deep surges of energy welling up within you just quite yet. In fact, you may feel like your energy is waning! However, as sure as the Sun will shine, believe me, when shela Luna connects with Black Moon Lilith and Mercury, and then her own south node along with the Sun = BOOM! We’ll all be feeling it!

Even then, let’s not forget this is in Libra. YOU may not be feeling it, but your lover might be feeling it, and for sure, you’ll both feel the intensity. It’s unbelievable how much of our power we give away without realizing it to the point where it takes someone else to blow us. And it may not be a person, it could be a comment, a headline, or a police officer…. look out, the sub/unconscious (south node of the Moon) works in very mysterious ways, especially when cooking up something with Lilith. Let’s keep in mind that you never lose what’s REALLY yours!
