Every relationship grows and changes from the early romantic phase to deeper, more committed, and transformative stages. These changes can be seen, predicted, understood, and assisted by analyzing the transits occurring in both the native and composite charts. Again, the transits to the composite chart will show when the relationship is going through a change. In contrast, the transits to each individual’s chart will indicate what they are going through personally.
To illustrate the difference, let’s use an example of transiting Saturn going through the 4th house of the composite chart. We know that this indicates obstacles, blocks, limitations, and responsibilities connected to the home, roots, property, and family of the relationship. This transit could mean anything from the couple buying a new home (taking on the responsibility of a mortgage) to an infirm in-law moving into the house, creating challenges, burdens, and extra work for the couple that could have a profound impact on their relationship life.
The transit of Saturn going through the 4th house of the composite chart will give the times of the onset and conclusion of the event/condition and information about how it will affect the relationship by the aspects transiting Saturn makes to the other planets/houses of the composite chart.
The transiting aspects occurring within Person A and B will tell us how the event/condition will affect them, why they’ve attracted it on a soul level, whether they are the protagonist or the antagonist (if there is one), and what outcome may be expected.
Remember that as transits to the composite chart indicate dynamics occurring in a relationship, they do not necessarily point to the cause. Many factors can contribute to a change in a relationship, some being outside factors that bring the couple closer together or lead to differences and challenges. Using the same example, Saturn going through the composite 4th house could indicate the real estate market dropping or loan interest rates rising on the couple’s adjustable-rate mortgage. These outside influences are not initiated by either member of the relationship or under their control but will still impact both of them and their future.
Final dates to be confirmed.
Day 1: Transits to Jupiter-Pluto
We will review the transits of Jupiter to Pluto as well as the Moon’s nodes and the Progressed Moon. These slower-moving planets and points (less conscious and very powerful) indicate more profound, long-term changes occurring in the life of the native and/or couple.
We’ll look at their meanings through the houses and in aspect to the “personal planets,” Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Particular emphasis will be placed on transits that affect the “relationship houses and planets.”
Day 2: Learn by doing
We will use examples of individual student charts to demonstrate the principles and uses of the transits learned on Day 1.
Day 3: Tying it together
We will look at student relationships, including transits to each of their personal charts and the composite, just as an astrologer would for a relationship reading.
Day 4: Conclusion
Q&A session for questions you may have regarding any part of the course. Depending on the number and depth of the questions, we may have time for another example or two of a relationship analysis using the techniques we have learned together.

Kaypacha will use Solar Fire by Astrolabe for demonstration and interpretation purposes. This program is highly recommended if you are serious about pursuing your studies in relationship chart analysis, and prerequisite to complete Part 4 of this course.
