Reach For The Stars:
An Astrological Pilgrimage to Mt. Kinnaur Kailash

OVERVIEW

The trip of a lifetime!

Patagonia’s wonder, beauty, and raw, powerful magnificence will stir you deeply from within, reminding you of your roots, connection to Creation, and true place in the natural world. Nature grows wild, barren, and beautiful, and the wide open spaces are large, as are the silences that fill them. The majesty of jagged soaring peaks rising from pristine glacier waters jutting into clear blue skies (and brilliant stars) will bring us from the silent, empty void within to the spiritual presence and wisdom of the earth and sky. Join us!

TIME

Jupiter ☌ Uranus

This is the ideal time to visit Patagonia, both weather and “starwise.”

Jupiter, the planet of natural law and the expansion of consciousness through all things/places foreign, will conjunct with Uranus/Prometheus, bringing profound illumination, vision, and heart/mind/Source connection.

Venus and Mars will also be conjunct in Aquarius, bringing in the new paradigm.

PLACE

Torres del Paine National Park

These huge, extreme, wild, and open spaces will bring you to the edge of the known world, both inside and out.

You will witness yourself and your life from a different, removed, still, and enlightened state resulting from immersion in nature, astrology, yoga, and breathwork.

INTENTION

Journey Inside & Out

Our world is changing fast and furiously. It is too easy to be overwhelmed and affected by the high-paced stress and pressure when surrounded by it and pushed to engage with it in order to “survive.”

To thrive as opposed to survive, we must step away and be guided by the “still small voice within,” which can be heard loud and clear in the vast open space of Patagonia and the deep inner realms reached through meditation.

EXPECTATIONS

Expansion & Connection

You can expect to push your physical, emotional, mental, and spirit bodies out of their comfort zone and into an expanded state of awareness.

Physically, we will hike and sail in one of the most amazing places on Planet Earth daily. Emotionally, we will unite to hold, support, get to know, and love each other as mirrors of ourselves. Mentally, we will explore the “blueprints of our souls,” our astrological birth charts, and the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction. Spiritually, we will open ourselves to the invisible, silent working of the luminous light beings to receive their guidance, grace, and goodness.

Considered more challenging than even the famed Kailash trek, Charang La Pass stands out due to its remote location, steep gradients, and multiple stream crossings.

This unique adventure begins amidst a rocky, desert-like landscape and culminates in the lush greenery of Chitkul. Geologists regard this route as the meeting point of the Himalayas, Dhauladhar, and Zanskar mountain systems, showcasing rugged terrain and a moon-like landscape characterized by cold, dry, rocky, and dusty conditions. Physical Demands
The easy excursion options do not demand extensive physical activity other than walking a maximum of two consecutive hours over reasonably flat terrain. We stop as many times as necessary, depending on the group’s rhythm.

Hikers doing the active excursion on Friday (Torres Base) will find it more energetic and physical. To enjoy this trek, it’s essential to be in good shape. All trails visited in the programs are under 1,000 m/3,000 ft high, so there’s no need to worry about altitude.

Children Policy
Children aged 12 and up are welcome to participate in all activities and are treated as adults.

Transport
In Torres del Paine and throughout Patagonia, transportation is in minivans that generally seat 8 to 14 people. Our local operations team will confirm pick-up/drop-off times. An exclusive toll-free emergency number will be available for additional support while you are in Chile.
Ask for the Weekly Transfer Board details for more information about pick-up and drop-off times.

Weather
The vast, unbroken stretch of ocean to the west and south of the South American continent leaves the Patagonian Andes very exposed to the saturated winds that circle the Antarctic landmass. Fine weather may deteriorate almost without warning, bringing rain and even snow. Even in summer (December to March), you should come prepared to find cold, strong winds (up to 130 km/hr) and rainfall. Summer’s average temperature is 11ºC (52ºF), ranging between 2 to 24ºC (35 to 75ºF).

Hikers need to be prepared for summer and winter temperatures. (What’s the weather going to be?)

We recommend:

  • IMPORTANT: Please travel with a soft duffel bag or backpack. Do not bring a hard case or rolling luggage
  • A day backpack for hikes (15-20 liters)
  • A pair of quality waterproof trekking boots
  • Three pairs of waterproof hiking pants
  • Three pairs of thermal tops and bottoms
  • Two pairs of fleece jumpers
  • One down jacket
  • Headgear (1 beanie, 1 buff, and 1 cap)
  • Headlamp/LED torch
  • A pair of thick gloves
  • Trekking poles
  • A pair of shorts
  • Comfortable loose pants for movement and downtime
  • Personal hygiene essentials (hand sanitizer, soap, towel, toilet paper, baby wipes, etc.) (?)
  • Sun protection (UV-block glasses, lip balm, and sunscreen)
  • Water purifier and filtration bottle (?)
  • First aid kit
  • Cash to buy extra drinks, snacks, or souvenirs
