Days after the full moon can sometimes feel like a crescendo drop, much like that of a twenty-foot wave plunging to the face of the sea. The gravity of the fall doesn’t stop however, just upon the surface layer, it pulls us deeper into the depths of the unconscious realms with its weighty intensity.

So here we are, in the Last Quarter Moon phase during a cycle of massive tension. We are unraveling, disentangling, disengaging; letting go of deeply ingrained ways of being and existing. It is the last week of La Luna’s cycle after all…

The issues coming up in our lives can be quite confrontational at this time, and it’s important to address the matters, shift gears if necessary, and reorient your perspective. Quarter Moon’s propose a question. Often demanding a choice be made to set in motion a new direction.

After the storm comes clarity, the calmer waters can offer a reprieve to restore and rejuvenate the soul and the senses. But we’re not there yet. Soon, with next week’s New Moon, we can trust that we will enter new territory, arrive upon fresh shores, and begin a new adventure.

But for now, with Neptune being heavily activated by each one of the four “personal planets” throughout August and September, we are being tested beyond our understanding, cast into stormy waters, if you will.

Within our psyche, Neptune is the realm of the infinite, the phenomenal, the omnipotent, the supersensory. We are becoming more sensitive individuals and attuned collectively.

Neptune represents the God/dess of the deep seas, the raging storms of chaos, and the spirit that gives life to all sentient things.

This week, as you navigate the gusty terrain of your life, the aspects of you that are swirling into storm clouds in the mind and the gales of emotional turmoil, remember, during the dark moon days, we are guided to let go and to surrender in faith that we will be shown the way.

This week’s biannual aspect of the Sun at the midpoint of the North and South Nodes of the Moon is triggering the North Star – within. That center of gravity guides you always towards the direction of your destiny. Destiny is always calling regardless of stormy seas and cloudy skies, and it’s times like these when its cry resounds louder!

This transit is about facing our purpose. We can imagine that our Purpose has come to sit at the round table with us. It’s a discussion about where we have been focusing our life force energy, our will, and our physical power to manifest. It’s about focus, and determination, direction, and intention, and what we make of them in our own lives.

You have the opportunity this week to release some very deep and karmic old patterns of being and to step gracefully and powerfully into a higher degree of personal leadership and presence in your own life and within your own purpose. Discrimination is key.

It’s a “confusing” time as Neptune represents veiled perceptions and missing pieces in the great cosmic puzzle! With Mercury having just opposed Neptune and Mars moving into that position this week, things are not as they seem. Perceptions, facts, and information are often skewed, and as wills are tested and fears and motivations gradually become more evident, we are becoming clearer with where we stand.
However, the waters are murky for now, and cloud-covered skies can lend to a foreboding presence. Center within to be led by your own inner North Star. Soon a new day, a new way, is dawning.
