The Last Quarter Moon represents the “Crisis in Consciousness” point. The phase in the cycle where we stand at the crossroads with the brilliant perfect (waning) half-moon above, reminding us that we have a decision to make.
Where in your life might you be being asked to adjust your perspective and become more aware of something critical to your own development and growth at this time?
If we look at this phase like a Garden – after reaping the fruitful bounty of the fruition phase (the revelations that came at the Full Moon), it is now necessary to begin to make preparations for the new seed planting phase that will arrive at the New Moon in a week’s time.
Essentially it is about clearing the garden, giving thanks for what has presented itself, grieving for that which never came through, and letting go to begin anew. We have to deal with the compost and get fresh fertile soil ready to nurture the new potential.
For now, the “Crisis in Consciousness” represents and implies a necessary adjustment in awareness is at hand. To most successfully move forward and assure “fertile soil” will be available for our next new seed potentials to be planted, alignment with the closure and clearing stage is required.
We are entering the last week of the Lunar Cycle. The final waning into the Dark Moon Phase (before the New Moon.) We are supported to be reflective, contemplative, introspective, receptive, and in “surrender mode” to release what is done.
What were you given? What did you receive? What has come out of it that is too much or not enough? What needs to be cleared away (composted) because it’s simply not wanted in this space? Now is the time to come to terms with the reality (the state and conditions) of your Garden.
